Follow her dream…
After making a deathbed promise to her father, Joelle Winslow is ready to seize the NYC business opportunity to take her jewelry designs global. All she needs to do is cash out her inherited half of the family ranch in Montana—which means convincing her childhood rival, and now co-heir, to sell or buy her out. Sparks fly when Matt, no longer a gangly, solemn teenager, but a tall, handsome cowboy with work-hewn muscles, is unwilling to give up on the legacy he's worked so hard to keep without a fight. And part of his bargain includes Joelle staying at the ranch with him through Homecoming Weekend.
The son her father never had...
The Winslow ranch rescued Matt Locke from a life in the foster-care system. As an orphan boy adopted by Clark Winslow and groomed to take over the ranch, he wants nothing more than to marry, raise a family, and continue the legacy of the man who became a father to him after his parents’ tragic deaths. Matt can't imagine a life anywhere else, and he definitely can't afford to buy Joelle out. Can he convince the dark haired beauty to not walk out on him and her home a second time?

First, I am confused. The cover of the book I read was not the cover of the book at this site. Same title, same author, same story. My girl was riding a horse that he was leading. Weird. That being said, this is a stand alone read with a HEA. I enjoyed the story. I was a little upset at the heroine for putting herself above the woman that was like a mother to her, three ranch hands that had been there since her grandfather and then Matt, the adopted son of her father who was raised on the ranch. Next, I had to question the real estate deal that would allow them to put the ranch up for sale and then she would have her money and be back in NYC in less than a week. Must have been La La Land because real estate doesn't work that way. There was a lot of money deals going on here that I don't think would have worked because one, she had no income, just the plan of a big business. Plus, if it was going to cost her half a million dollars to buy in, how long was it going to take her to earn her money back! Something doesn't make sense here.
However, considering the love story where it seems her hate of Matt as a child and teen turns to love as an adult. She was very misguided in her thinking and naturally she went the wrong way so she has been angry all these years for nothing. I could see where she really loved Matt all along and just rebuffed him because she thought he was going to rebuff her and she wanted to get him first.
She was a bit immature and seemed hell bent on just thinking of herself and what she wanted. Poor Matt, all he wanted was a home and family. I liked Matt he just needed to stand up for himself and get over the fact that she was the boss's daughter. It is a cute story and it goes along with all the other stories that center around Marietta, Montana. There is no sex, no violence, no bad guy, no crazy ex. It is just a sweet story of two people coming of age and knowing what their hearts want. I would recommend it for an easy read with a good ending.
I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 19/3/17

Home for Good Montana Born Homecoming Book 2 edition by Terri Reed Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Got this book to read as I was heading in vacation to Montana and thought it'd be a fun read as I'm an avid romance reader. Sorry to say but I didn't enjoy it at all and was rushing to finish just because I never leave a book unfinished. Characters fine, story fine but ending was rushed and predictable. 😐
Joelle comes home to Marietta after her father has a heart attack. Growing up she always felt that her father preferred Matt, the orphaned son of his good friend, over her. Matt was like the son her father never had. When she left for college she never looked back. After her father's death she decides to sell the ranch and put the past behind her. Time for a fresh start. The only problem is that Matt inherited the other half of the ranch. The story is about looking at the past and realizing things were not quite what they seemed. Sometimes your dream can be right under your nose. Great read.
I thought Home for Good was a great addition to the Montana Born Homecoming series. Growing up Joelle always felt second in her father's affection while Matt was the son he never had but always wanted. And after the death of his parents, Matt felt that the Winslow ranch became his new home. When Joelle returns to Marietta, she has plans for her future.
Home for Good is a sweet romance that makes for an enjoyable visit and return to Marietta, Montana. I'll be looking to read more from Terri Reed.
This was a twist on a very popular theme that seems to be happening a lot lately. For once, the hero and heroine haven't been longing for each other since they first laid eyes on each other as children and the hero isn't a Seal, not even a veteran. He's just a plain old Montana cowboy and she's just a spoiled little rich girl that has been harboring misguided bad feelings for most of her life. Once he understands why she never liked him growing up and she finally opens her eyes to the whole picture, well, the rest is history. The editing wasn't the cleanest it could be, but not too distracting unless you're put by someone referring to a stallion as a she... I'm giving it 4 stars because the characters, whether you like them or not, are believable.
Joelle makes a promise to her father on his deathbed, but fulfilling that promise may destroy her Montana family ranch. Complicating things is her need to make a business decision, and fast, but torn by the love/hate feelings she has for Matt. Matt has a way of showing her how to make everything work and keep the promise, but she's not convinced.
As she comes to terms with the past and opens her heart, she realizes it would be a mistake to sellout for her dream, when her dream and more is already in front of her. This was a great story.
**I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion**
I liked everything about this book. Although,I thought Jo was acting pretty selfishly throughout most of the story. The only person she was worried about, was herself. She didn't care that her actions could possibly put Matt, Ava, and the elderly ranch hands--- who'd been working on the ranch since before she was born--- not only out of their home, but also out of a job. IMO- that was not only selfish, but also very heartless. I mean really; I could maybe see her doing something like that to Matt, who she'd be so jealous of growing up, and even the ranch hands...who she had little interactions with over the years. But....to do it to Ava, the one person who stepped in and loved her like a granddaughter for all those years....it just makes me sick to my stomach thing about it.
Even though she redeemed herself by the end of the story, I don't know if I can forgive her for putting all of the others through all that turmoil. Matt and Ave? I loved them both right from the start, and my love for them just grew more and more with each passing day. They could have thrown fits and yelled at Jo---which would have been well deserved in my book--- but they didn't. That right there is what true love is all about, wanting the best for the one you love, even when their decisions might be tearing your heart out.
